Illini Union Circle Drive -- $145 7:30am - 8pm

  • Get 5 circle drive spaces bagged for handicapped parking
  • 1-3 Bagged spaces in  the adjacent lot (24/7 parking enforced)
    • 1 for TRM or their attendant(s), if applicable
    • 1 for TRH or their attendant(s), if applicable
    • 1 for the event "gopher"

Details of the parking process

  • People pull into the circle drive to drop off gear, get a parking map, etc., then move their car to one of the recommended parking lots
  • If they are going to use one of the bagged spaces, they will need a Temporary Reserved Parking permit on their dashboard.
  • Steer people away from 24/7 metered lots and the hotel parking lot
  • Merchants, royals, and other people dropping off lots of gear can pull around Wright St. and park by the West doors (just outside Illini ABC)
    • This is TEMPORARY parking -- they need to go as soon as gear is moved
    • in 2013 the campus police were stopping cars that pulled around this way, because technically it's a bus lane and restricted to authorized personnel. We had asked for the post (what's the technical word?) on the sidewalk to be lowered, and the Union was allowing us to drive up there -- so maybe in 2014 we should contact the campus police before the event and let them know to expect us.
  • Have at least one volunteer by the front entrance from 8-12, minimum (parking volunteer list on the Volunteers page)

Parking Map: print at least 50 copies; have some at Troll and some with the on-duty parking greeter

(Please upload the parking map file to the wiki and add a link here)

Outdoor signage -- How many signs do we have and where have we been placing them?

  1. Sign 1 - location
  2. Sign 2 - location
  3. Sign 3 - location
  4. Sign 4 - location
  5. Sign 5 - location
  6. more...?

We found the foam core boards in our basement. They are now in our garage with the rest of the shire equipment ready to be picked up for Maidens. :-) They will need to have the info changed once we know all the room assignments for this year.
