Something to note about the restaurants in the basement of the Union: most of them refuse to open on a Saturday, even knowing there will be hundreds of people in the building. Seems like every time we have an event there, the only places open in the building are Espresso Royale (not serving meals), Jamba Juice (ditto), and Chick Fil-A.
Now that Chick Fil-A has publicly announced that they are officially supporting anti-gay causes, we might want to mention this fact in our restaurant info for people who make a point to boycott these types of businesses. It's off-topic for the SCA, though, so I don't know if we can mention this in our official on-site restaurant sheet or just share it on the event Facebook page? In any case we will need to update our restaurant list and stress the benefits of walking a block down the street for a wider variety of options.
